Services provided at The Maryland Nose and Sinus Center

“Our Patients Come First”.

Patients who come to the Maryland Nose and Sinus center expect to get the most advanced and personalized care in the field of rhinology. Dr Shikani was voted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society, he did his residency at the Johns Hopkins Hospital where he trained with Dr David Kennedy (the father of minimally invasive endoscopic sinus surgery in the US); Dr Shikani has performed the first 20 ballon sinuplasty procedures in the state of Maryland. He as also performed more than 10,000 nose and sinus surgeries over a 25-year career in otolaryngology. Dr Sohn did his residency at SUNY Downstate in New York, where he was voted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society, and was named the Outstanding Resident. Our physicians excel the medical or surgical treatment of sinusitis, and perform state-of-the art balloon sinuplasty, which is an in-office procedure, under local anesthesia, that take about 30 minutes and clears 90% of chronic sinusitis symptoms. (Matt link to Balloon Sinuplasty). Our physicians perform radiofrequency coblation of the turbinates, a 5 minutes procedure that treats nasal blockage. Our physicians also specialize in rhinoplasty, including the entire spectrum of functional and aesthetic treatment of the nose and sinuses.
